My Thoughts

First Impression:  I love Sarah Fine, ever since I read Sanctum…

While I believe this is actually considered a Fantasy, or even High Fantasy by some, I believe it has a dystopian feel to it, also.  Don't get me wrong…the elements are there for this to be a fantasy, it's just something about the world it's set in that makes me think of a world destroyed and built back up to be this magical one with 'holy than thou' tyrants, who are also sort of immortal, running everything amok, or at least for the Kupari.  Yeah, it's like that...

It starts out rather slow and I didn't know if I was liking it for the first half.  Since it's Sarah Fine, I stuck with it and I'm very glad I did.  It definitely has a slow build-up, but once it got going, it was very intriguing, almost insanely so.

Sex Factor: No, but there is a slowly simmering romance…so sweet.
