My Thoughts

If you've read any other reviews for this you know that a lot of readers were disappointed with the amount of fantasy within.  The only thing to me that makes this a fantasy is the names of all the places involved are changed to something fantastical.  That's it. Period.  Otherwise it's more historical fiction with a alternative twist...I suppose.

For me it was disappointing because it lacked feeling and depth, I just didn't connect, and found most of book to be boring.  The narrator was decidedly British sounding, but almost like she changed it up, dialect wise, so as to sound like something other than.  She was mostly decent, though.

Sex Factor:  Yes, this does have sex, but only the leading up to it, is explicit.
